Howdy, my name is Jack! I'm such a cool guy, everyone that meets me falls in love with me (seriously, I really am just THAT cool!)I'm laid back and get along with everyone.I was surrendered to rescue with my sister, Sophie when my owners felt we deserved a chance at a better life in a different home (we are not a bonded pair but can be adopted seperately or together). Our previous family had a lot of young kids and we werent too crazy about being around them all the time so we were outside a lot.I actually like kids, just not a lot of them, my foster family had their 7yr old nephew visit and I was on lifeguard duty while they played in the pool, making sure the little boy was safe. I kept my eye on him the whole time while he played in the pool, I would get concerned and start whining and pacing if he swam under water and I couldnt see him. I would sit at the side of the pool watching him the entire time.I am 11yrs old and am a spunky fellow who doesnt act his age. I'm playful and loving and am an overall great boy.The transition from the only home I've known since I was a pup was a little stressful for me at first, so I went through a period of anxiety when my foster family left the house and I howled. I've since settled down and am no longer worried they wont return but just to be safe in case I need time to adjust to my new home and may howl when first left alone, it would be best if my adopter lives in a single family house vs an apartment.I love to play ball, lounge on the couch in my free time and my favorite treat is a bully stick, boy do I LOVE those! I am a total gentleman and am doggie door trained and have basic manners. I am such a character and my goofy personality makes my foster family smile.I am in desperate need of a dental cleaning and will probably have most of my teeth removed. I'm scheduled for my dental procedure in a couple of weeks.IMPORTANT! I am still available if my listing is still posted, so pls don't send an email asking if I'm still available ~ as it can't be returned. As soon my adoption is complete, my posting will be removed. Thanks for understanding, my foster family is very busy taking care of me & my other foster pals and they don't have any extra time to respond to emails about questions that are answered in the my posting. The first step in adopting me is to complete an adoption application at www.azcockerrescue.org, Click ADOPTIONS on the menu at the top of the page. AZCR is a very small, ALL VOLUNTEER organization so please understand they do the best they can to save more sweet souls like me but are very limited on time. Completing an application will speed up the adoption process for everyone involved ~ it does NOT guarantee adoption & it DOES NOT commit you to adopting me! It helps my foster home to make sure I would be a good fit for you. Thank you for your patience, we appreciate your understanding. I hope to meet you soon! My Adoption donation fee is $75 ~ Remember, you aren't BUYING a dog, you are ADOPTING and saving a life! All donations go toward saving more dogs like me! Hiya, I'm Sophie I was surrendered to rescue with my brother, Jack when our owners felt we deserved a chance at a better life in a different home (we are not a bonded pair but can be adopted seperately or together). Our previous family had a lot of young kids and we werent too crazy about being around them all the time so we were outside a lot. I actually like kids, just not a lot of them, my foster family had their 7yr old nephew visit and I was fine with him. I wasn't aggressive at all and just stayed inside. When another young girl came for a visit, I enjoyed her doting on my and petting me. I am spunky gal and dont act my age at all. I'm laid back and quiet, I am an overall good girl. I love to lounge on the couch in my free time and my favorite time of day is breakfast and dinner, I will do spins and jumps I'm so excited to eat! I am a polite lady and am doggie door trained and have basic manners. I was in desperate need of a dental cleaning and had my dental procedure when I first came into rescue, they ended up having to pull all of my teeth. Now instead of stinky breath I have an adorable expression on my face with my tongue hanging out. As common with cockers, I had chronic ear infections most of my life so my ear canals have closed and I'm mostly deaf. I had a bad ear infection when I first came into rescue but I was such a good girl when it was time to clean my ears and medicate them. Even though I was so miserable and itchy from the irritation, I was still such a sweet gal. While my ear infection is under control, I will probably need meds periodically the rest of my life. I have typical 'old cocker warts' on my body and will be having some of them removed in a couple of weeks. IMPORTANT! I am still available if my listing is still posted, so pls don't send an email asking if I'm still available ~ as it can't be returned. As soon my adoption is complete, my posting will be removed. COME MEET ME AT UPCOMING ADOPTION EVENT! Please visit www.azcockerrescue.org for an adoption applications. ******************************************************** I was rescued from the county shelter where I was a stray dog and my owners never came to claim me. I failed the adoption evaluation because a little guy like me was scared of a big, noisy place like the shelter! I am still a bit scared of new people so I would do best in a quiet, laid back home. I'm a special boy and am not used to lots of people coming and going, they say I can be a bit sensitive. I'm quite the character and there is lots of personality packed in this tiny little body of mine! My favorite game is chasing the laser light, I think that's pretty cool and can chase it for hours if you let me! The Shelter estimated me at about 2-3 Yrs old.
